The Mandarin Museum and Historical Society is sponsored in part by the City of Jacksonville and the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville through the Cultural Service Grant Program. The Florida Communities Trust saved what is now the Walter Jones Historical Park property by providing funding for the purchase of the land. In 2019-21, MMHS received a Facilities Grant for museum expansion from the Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs.
We were extremely grateful to have received COVID Relief grants from Florida Humanities CARES and the City of Jacksonville CARES through the CARES Act of 2020. These funds allowed us to stay on top of our bills between March and November 2020.
Florida Humanities and NEH: “Funding has been provided to Mandarin Museum & Historical Society (MMHS) from the National Endowment for the Humanities through a grant from Florida Humanities as part of the 2020 Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed by MMHS do not necessarily represent those of Florida Humanities or the National Endowment for the Humanities.”
